These photographic works on the subject of the 522nd Field Artillery Battalion. The 522nd Field Artillery Battalion is a troop of the US Army, that consists of the second generation of Japanese Americans. They were mainly active on the European front and liberated the Dachau concentration camp. Before becoming soldiers, many of them were in Japanese- American incarceration camps in the U.S., and their families were in camps until the end of the Pacific theaters of World War II.
本作は、日系アメリカ人2世で構成された、アメリカ陸軍部隊の第522野戦砲兵大隊が、ナ チス・ドイツのダッハウ強制収容所を解放し歴史をリサーチを下に制作した写真作品で す。彼ら日系アメリカ人兵士は、兵役の前はアメリカの日系人収容所に収容されていて、 その家族 は第二次世界大戦の太平洋戦争が終わるまで収容所にいました。
