私の曽祖父は日系移民として、主にサンフランシスコ・ベイエリアに47年間住んでいまし た。この作品で私は、1925年8月に曽祖母と祖父が日本に帰国する直前に、彼らの帰国を見送る曽祖父が、サンフランシスコ埠頭で撮影した、彼らにとっては最後となる家族写真 を使用してパフォーマンスを行いました。
My great-grandfather was a Japanese American immigrant who lived primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area for 47 years. In this work, I performed with a family photo taken by my great-grandfather on the San Francisco Pier shortly before my great-grandmother and grandfather returned to Japan in August 1925, which was the last time of family gathering.
